Polish Tourist Dies After Falling from Waterfall in Tsalenjikha Municipality

A tragic accident occurred in the village of Chkvaleri, within the Intsra Gorge of Tsalenjikha Municipality, where a Polish tourist fell from a waterfall and died. The incident was reported on Tuesday by Tamar Belkania, the Deputy Mayor of Tsalenjikha, on social media.

“A tragedy happened just a few minutes ago in the Intsra Gorge. A Polish tourist, a young woman born in 1989, fell from the waterfall. She has passed away. Police are on the scene,” Belkania wrote.

The tourist’s body has already been recovered from the waterfall.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to incitement to suicide.
