Georgia’s Central Election Commission delegation has held meetings in France as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening international cooperation.

The commission’s chair, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, and secretary, Giorgi Javakhishvili, met Georgia’s ambassador to France, Irakli Kurashvili, as well as chargé d’affaires Ekaterine Kokaia, during their visit.

According to the commission’s press office, discussions focused on joint debates held within the Venice Commission, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The participants reviewed the outcomes of those discussions and assessed future cooperation prospects.

Kalandarishvili said the Georgian embassy in France plays an important role in deepening relations with European institutions and international partners. He further stressed the importance of close coordination and information exchange on key electoral issues to ensure timely and accurate communication with international organisations.
