Turkish authorities have released a Russian-flagged ship reportedly loaded with grains stolen from Ukraine in a move which disappointed Kyiv.

Following this on Thursday, the Turkish ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Kyiv said that the ship was released on the evening of July 6 and called on Turkey to investigate and provide “comprehensive answers” over the issue  to relevant agencies of Ukraine.

Per international reports the grain was taken from the Ukrainian city of Berdyansk, which is currently controlled by the Russian military.

The Russian-flagged ship belonged to the Kazakh company KTZ Express, which leased it to the Russian company Green Line.
