Journalist Maka Chikhladze and her cameraman from TV Pirveli were physically assaulted during a live broadcast.

According to Chikhladze, the attackers were the same individuals who had earlier been seen beating protesters. She reported that a group of approximately 50 people targeted her and her team.

Chikhladze also alleged that law enforcement officers present at the scene failed to intervene or take any action against the assailants.

The incident highlights escalating tensions surrounding the ongoing protests, raising serious concerns about press freedom and journalist safety in Georgia.
