Two arrested for membership of terrorist organization Islamic State

The Georgian State Security Service said on Wednesday it had arrested two Georgian citizens for membership in a terrorist group Islamic State, with special operations conducted in the country’s two  regions, on four locations. 

 

The individuals have also been charged with the possession and carrying of firearms and ammunition, the body said. 

 

It noted flags with the symbols of IS, explosive materials and ammunition have been seized, along with electronic devices.
