Two Georgian volunteers killed, nine wounded in Ukraine

Two Georgian volunteers, Beka Lomashvili and Ramaz Petelava, have been killed and nine others wounded by Russian troops in Ukraine, members of the Georgian Legion, the latter confirmed in its social media post on Thursday. 

 

The incident took place during the offensive in the direction of Donetsk, the Legion said, and noted the condition of three of the nine injured was serious. 

 

The Legion extended its condolences to the families of those killed and said “glory to heroes”!

 

More than 50 Georgian volunteers fighting against Russia have been killed in Ukraine since March 2022.
