Two more GD mayoral candidates sue opposition-minded Mtavari Arkhi TV

Chiatura and Kareli mayoral candidates, Givi Modebadze and Zaza Guliashvili, from the Georgian Dream (GD) ruling party, have sued the opposition-minded Mtavari-Arkhi TV channel and its head Nika Gvaramia for spreading fake information about them. 

 

They are demanding 55,555 GEL each, ‘a symbolic compensation’, from the channel. 

 

Earlier this month Kutaisi mayoral candidate from the ruling party, Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, also sued the channel with the same reason and demanded compensation. 

 

He said that ‘when he receives the compensations,’ it will be spent for charity goals.
