Leader of opposition Progress and Freedom party Kakha Okriashvili claims that two opposition activists were stabbed earlier today at an election meeting organised by the united opposition mayoral candidate in Dmanisi Giorgi Tatuashvili.

Okriashvili says that ‘video footage’ reflecting the incident exists and that ruling Georgian Dream party majoritarian candidate Mikheil Dautashvili and his son are responsible for the case.

He says that the injured individuals have been taken to hospital.

Dautashvili has accused the opposition of being provocative during the election event and dismissed reports on his involvement.

He does not exclude that the two activities inflicted injuries themselves.
