The Georgian Government on Tuesday said the United Arab Emirates-based Emaar Properties real estate developer, owning $30 billion in assets worldwide, had plans to invest in Georgia, following the meeting of prime minister Irakli Garibashvili with Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, the founder and managing director of the company in his Tbilisi office.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of projects in “several directions” in the aftermath of several visits of the company’s representatives to Georgia, the government press office said, with the PM welcoming the company’s initiative to invest in the country.

Emaar Properties is represented in a number of countries of Asia, Europe and North America.
