Republican Congressman Joe Wilson, Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, announced on platform X that he discussed Georgia and global security challenges with Michael Waltz, the incoming US National Security Advisor.

Wilson highlighted concerns about the “authoritarian takeover of Georgia” and the broader threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party to global freedom.

“I was grateful to see our next National Security Advisor, @michaelgwaltz, today and discuss the authoritarian takeover of Georgia and the threat of the Chinese Communist Party to freedom around the world. I look forward to our continued partnership for Peace Through Strength!” Wilson wrote in his post.
