US Congressman Joe Wilson has called for immediate sanctions on ruling party founder and honorary Chair Bidzina Ivanishvili and members of his party, condemning the government’s actions as a brutal crackdown on the Georgian people.

In his post on X, Wilson described the government as an “illegitimate puppet regime” and expressed concerns over the country’s shift toward dictatorship. He emphasized the importance of standing with the Georgian people against government repression.

”We cannot stand by and allow Georgia to fall into dictatorship against the people’s will,” the congressman stressed.
