UK foreign secretary visits Georgia

James Cleverly, the United Kingdom foreign secretary, will hold meetings in Georgia on Thursday and Friday, the Georgian foreign office said on Thursday. 

While in Georgia, the UK official will meet his counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili and prime minister Irakli Garibashvili, before visiting the occupation line in central Georgia. 

He is also scheduled to attend an event organized by the Digital Government Agency and hold a meeting with domestic civil society representatives.

Darchiashvili visited the UK earlier this year, while the UK foreign secretary visited Tbilisi in 2016 for the last time.
