A special task force will appear in the UK in the near future to combat Russian influence, The Telegraph reports.

It is noted that £ 120 million will be provided for the maneuvers of the new special operations brigade based on the Special Airborne Service (SAS) ranger regiment.

According to Chief of Staff Sir Mark Carlton-Smith, the special forces will fight "hostile state actors." According to the news_copypaper, the new squad will work with the MI6 Secret Intelligence Service to carry out covert surveillance operations against spies and military units in Russia.

In addition, the duties of the detachment will include a search of houses and cars, the special forces will also study images from miniature cameras, drones and satellites. All this will be carried out with the aim of discrediting Russian activities.

On March 16, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson presented a report on security issues, according to which the kingdom intends to increase funding for the British army, continue cooperation with the United States and increase its nuclear potential, despite the fact that almost 11 years ago London decided to reduce it. At the same time, the document called Russia one of the main threats to the security of the kingdom.
