Following the 23 November negotiations in Geneva, Ukraine and the United States have prepared an updated and refined framework document aimed at achieving peace.

According to a joint statement, the talks were constructive, focused, and respectful, highlighting both sides’ shared commitment to a just and sustainable peace. Both parties agreed that the consultations were highly productive.

“The parties reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty and ensure a sustainable and fair peace,” the statement said.

Ukraine and the US also agreed to continue intensive work on joint proposals in the coming days.

“The discussions demonstrated significant progress in aligning positions and clearly defining next steps. As a result, the parties developed an updated and refined peace framework. The Ukrainian delegation once again expressed gratitude to the United States, and personally to President Donald Trump, for their tireless efforts to end the war and loss of life,” the statement added.

The framework emphasizes that final decisions will be made by the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States, and both sides reiterated their readiness to continue working together to achieve peace, ensuring Ukraine’s security, stability, and reconstruction.

Earlier, on 20 November, the US presented Ukraine with a 28-point peace plan, which included proposals such as withdrawal from Donbas, reduction of military forces, and renunciation of long-range weapons. On 23 November, representatives from the United States, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany met in Geneva to review the plan.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted that President Trump’s team was listening to Ukraine and that “many things are changing” as a result of the talks.
