Ukraine has suspended exports of some food products due to the risk of food shortages, the Ukrainian government has said in a statement.

According to them, the export of meat, rye, oats, buckwheat, sugar, millet and salt will be stopped.

However, the export of wheat, corn, poultry, eggs and oil will be allowed only with the permission of the Ministry of Economy.

According to media reports, there is a shortage of products in supermarkets across Ukraine because delivery routes are blocked.

Ukraine is the second largest provider of wheat for Georgia after Russia.
