The Ukrainian operational-strategic military group Khortytsa has announced the downing of a Russian Su-25 fighter jet in the Kramatorsk area. The information was shared by the commander of Ukraine’s ground forces, Alexander Pavliuk, who also released a video allegedly capturing the moment the aircraft was struck by Ukrainian forces.

The footage shows the Su-25 plummeting to the ground following the attack, though the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

As of now, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not provided any comments on the reported downing. Due to the ongoing conflict, independent verification of the claims remains challenging.

The Su-25 is a close air support aircraft designed to assist ground forces by targeting both mobile and stationary ground objects, as well as low-speed air targets, within the direct line of sight.
