Ukrainian citizens have been allowed to enter Georgia without visas and stay in the country up to two years, instead of the previous one year, the government of Georgia on Friday released a corrected legal act of 2015.

The amendment comes amid Russia’s ongoing conflict with Ukraine with hundreds of Ukrainian nationals stranded in Georgia and other foreign states escaping hostilities in their country.

Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, with hostilities still in progress.
