An oil depot in the Smolensk region of Russia was reportedly attacked by Ukrainian drones, leading to a fire, according to the BBC’s Russian service. The attack occurred in the city of Yartsevo, where a fuel depot was struck, triggering a blaze in the area, multiple Telegram channels reported.

Russian media have also stated that the attack impacted a facility within the fuel and energy complex, though further details about the extent of the damage remain unclear.

The Russian Defense Ministry has claimed that its air defense systems intercepted 68 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 10 in the Smolensk region. However, reports of damage to the oil depot suggest some drones successfully breached air defenses.
