Ukrainian MP Alexey Goncharenko has slammed Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili for his refusal to arrive in Kyiv, join sanctions against Russia and attend a parliamentary extraordinary session in the Georgian state legislature over Ukraine.
“Georgia has not backed Western sanctions against Russia. What? Do you have Stockholm syndrome?” the MP said.
Goncharenko says that the most surprising thing was the statement of Garibashvili that he could not visit Kyiv in solidarity, “because the sky over Ukraine is closed.”
He asked the Georgian people how they liked the position of the PM.
“Gharibashvili says imposing sanctions against Russia will do much more harm to his country. He is not even going to attend an extraordinary session in Parliament over Ukraine. But the most surprising was his statement on the visit to Kyiv,” said the MP.
“Irakli, when the war is over and passenger planes will fly over us instead of military planes, you can go nowhere,” he said.
“Georgians, brothers, how do you like it? Did you forget how the president of Ukraine arrived in Tbilisi when tanks were heading to Tbilisi in 2008? Will you tolerate this or explain to Gharibashvili what he should do?” Goncharenko stated.
