Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, and Maksym Kozytskyy, the head of the administration of Lviv, on Monday extended their gratitude to the Georgian authorities for the handover of 25 power generators amid ongoing Russian invasion.

In a letter sent to the Georgian foreign ministry, the officials had highlighted a “signifucunt help” in the hard times.

The generators were handed to Ukraine earlier this month, following the controversies sparked by the comments of the Ukrainian charge de’affairs Andriy Kasyanov, that his office had requested the aid, with the Georgian government “not responding”.

The Georgian government said  in response they had “never neglected” the requests by Ukraine.
