Ukrainian soldier killed in Donbass

Over the past day, militants in Donbas violated the ceasefire seven times, and a Ukrainian soldier was killed as a result of shelling.

In particular, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine not far from Pishchevik came under enemy fire. It was there that the Ukrainian defender was mortally wounded.

In addition, the militants fired in the area of ​​Shirokino, Vodyanoye and Verkhnetoretsk. The Ukrainian army responded to enemy fire, the command said.

"The main purpose of the VF ORDLO actions remained to provoke the Ukrainian Armed Forces to open return fire, followed by accusations of violating the ceasefire. In several cases, the enemy fired at our positions simultaneously with a request for silence, allegedly due to shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the message says.

Since the beginning of the current day, one enemy shelling has been recorded in the JFO area – not far from Pavlopol.
