Ukraine reports 1,060,310 Russian troop losses since start of full-scale war

Ukraine’s military has released updated figures on Russian combat losses, claiming that more than one million Russian troops had been killed or wounded since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Thursday that an estimated 1,060,310 Russian personnel have been killed or injured in combat operations as of 7 August 2025 - an increase of 1,040 in the past 24 hours.
The report also details significant equipment losses. Since the beginning of the invasion on 24 February 2022, Ukraine claimed Russian forces had lost:
11,076 tanks (+4)
23,095 armoured vehicles (+4)
31,180 artillery systems (+47)
1,456 multiple launch rocket systems (+1)
1,203 air defence systems (no change)
421 military aircraft (no change)
340 helicopters
49,930 tactical-level drones (+163)
3,555 cruise missiles (no change)
28 fast attack boats or ships
1 submarine
57,605 vehicles and fuel tanks (+130)
3,936 units of special equipment
