The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated data on Russia’s military losses since the start of the full-scale invasion.
According to the report, from the beginning of the war to date Russia has lost approximately 1,216,930 troops killed or wounded, including 1,030 over the past day.
The estimated total combat losses of Russian forces in Ukraine from 25 February 2022 to 9 January 2026 are as follows:
Tanks: 11,526 (+5)
Armoured combat vehicles: 23,882 (+8)
Artillery systems: 35,892 (+18)
Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,596 (+0)
Air defence systems: 1,269 (+0)
Aircraft: 434 (+0)
Helicopters: 347 (+0)
Operational-tactical UAVs: 102,761 (+687)
Cruise missiles: 4,137 (+0)
Fast attack boats / ships: 28 (+0)
Submarines: 2 (+0)
Motor vehicles and fuel tankers: 73,426 (+90)
Special equipment: 4,037 (+0)
