The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russian military losses in the conflict.
Since the start of the war, Russia has reportedly lost around 1,220,000 personnel (killed or wounded) in Ukraine, an increase of 1,060 from the previous report.
Estimated total Russian combat losses from 25 February 2022 to 12 January 2026 include:
Tanks: 11,541 (+0)
Armored vehicles: 23,892 (+7)
Artillery systems: 35,973 (+21)
Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,598 (+0)
Air defense systems: 1,270 (+1)
Aircraft: 434 (+0)
Helicopters: 347 (+0)
Operational-tactical drones: 104,421 (+353)
Cruise missiles: 4,155 (+0)
Light fast boats/ships: 28 (+0)
Submarines: 2 (+0)
Vehicles and fuel tanks: 73,742 (+98)
Special equipment: 4,042 (+3)
