The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russia’s estimated combat losses since the start of the war.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia has lost approximately 1,227,440 personnel in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, including those killed and wounded. The figure reflects an increase of 1,020 over the past day.

The estimated total combat losses of Russian forces in Ukraine from 25 February 2022 to 19 January 2026 are reported as follows:

  • Tanks: 11,573 (+2)

  • Armoured fighting vehicles: 23,922 (+3)

  • Artillery systems: 36,333 (+39)

  • Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,617 (+1)

  • Air defence systems: 1,278 (+0)

  • Aircraft: 434 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 347 (+0)

  • Operational-tactical level drones: 110,215 (+765)

  • Cruise missiles: 4,163 (+0)

  • Fast attack boats / ships: 28 (+0)

  • Submarines: 2 (+0)

  • Motor vehicles and fuel tankers: 74,876 (+170)

  • Special equipment: 4,045 (+1)
