Ukraine says Russian military losses exceed 1.23 mln since start of war

Russia has lost an estimated 1,239,590 troops in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday.
In its latest update, the General Staff said the figure includes those killed and wounded, with an increase of 880 personnel reported over the past day.
The Ukrainian military also released updated estimates of Russia’s total combat losses between February 25, 2022 and January 31, 2026. These include:
Tanks – 11,619 (+5)
Armoured combat vehicles – 23,977 (+8)
Artillery systems – 36,768 (+20)
Multiple launch rocket systems – 1,632 (+1)
Air defence systems – 1,290 (+1)
Aircraft – 435
Helicopters – 347
Operational-tactical drones – 119,928 (+694)
Cruise missiles – 4,205
Light speed boats / vessels – 28
Submarines – 2
Vehicles and fuel tankers – 76,377 (+58)
Special military equipment – 4,054
