Ukraine says Russian losses exceed 1.25mln since start of war

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday released updated figures on Russia’s combat losses in Ukraine, reporting that Moscow has lost about 1,259,780 troops since the full-scale invasion began.
The latest data shows Russian forces lost an additional 890 personnel over the past day, killed and wounded combined.
The reported cumulative combat losses of Russian forces in Ukraine between 25 February 2022 and 22 February 2026 are as follows:
Tanks — 11,694 (+9)
Armoured combat vehicles — 24,069 (+6)
Artillery systems — 37,470 (+41)
Multiple launch rocket systems — 1,652 (+1)
Air defence systems — 1,303 (+0)
Aircraft — 435 (+0)
Helicopters — 348 (+0)
Operational-tactical UAVs — 142,113 (+1,705)
Cruise missiles — 4,314 (+0)
Light speedboats/ships — 29 (+0)
Submarines — 2 (+0)
Vehicles and fuel tankers — 79,500 (+205)
