Ukraine says Russia has lost over 1.27mln troops since start of war

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated data on Russian military losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
According to the statement, Russia has lost about 1,278,430 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of the war, including 810 casualties recorded over the past day.
The Ukrainian military also provided updated estimates of Russian equipment losses between February 25, 2022 and March 14, 2026. According to the data, Russian forces have lost:
11,777 tanks (+4 in the past day)
24,212 armored combat vehicles (+10)
38,421 artillery systems (+52)
1,686 multiple launch rocket systems (+1)
1,332 air defense systems (+1)
The report also states that Russia has lost 435 aircraft and 349 helicopters, while Ukrainian forces have destroyed 177,286 operational-tactical drones (+2,147) and 4,403 cruise missiles.
In addition, losses include 31 light-speed boats/ships, two submarines, 83,403 vehicles and fuel tanks (+180), and 4,088 pieces of special equipment, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.
