Ukrainian General Staff: Russia has lost 1,348,790 troops since start of war

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Sunday that since 24 February 2022, Russia has lost about 1,348,790 personnel, including 1,170 over the past 24 hours killed or wounded.

The estimated total Russian combat losses in Ukraine from 25 February 2022 to 17 May 2026 are listed as follows:

  • Tanks: 11,938 (+1)

  • Armoured combat vehicles: 24,578 (+4)

  • Artillery systems: 42,215 (+82)

  • Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,790 (+2)

  • Air defence systems: 1,384 (+3)

  • Aircraft: 436 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 352 (+0)

  • Ground robotic systems: 1,410 (+13)

  • Operational-tactical UAVs: 295,454 (+2,131)

  • Cruise missiles: 4,628 (+2)

  • Light speed boats / vessels: 33 (+0)

  • Submarines: 2 (+0)

  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 97,118 (+325)

  • Special equipment: 4,196 (+5)
