Russia has lost an estimated 1,409,630 troops since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including 1,290 casualties over the past 24 hours, according to the latest update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military also reported that Russian forces lost seven tanks, nine armoured combat vehicles and 63 artillery systems during the same period.
According to the General Staff, Russia's estimated cumulative combat losses as of July 5, 2026, include:
