Ukraine claims nearly one million Russian troop losses since start of invasion

The figure includes an increase of 990 casualties over the past 24 hours.

Ukraine's military has claimed that Russia has lost nearly one million personnel since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
In its latest update, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that an estimated 982,840 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded since 24 February 2022. The figure includes an increase of 990 casualties over the past 24 hours.
The report, which could not be independently verified, also provided updated estimates of Russian equipment losses:
