Ukraine’s military on Thursday said Russia had lost 880 servicemembers in the past day during fighting across the front line.

The General Staff in Kyiv claimed Russia’s overall losses since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022 now stand at about 1,079,630 troops killed and wounded.

The latest daily update also reported equipment losses in the past 24 hours, including four tanks, seven armoured vehicles, 40 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launchers, 325 drones and 120 vehicles and fuel tanks.

Since the start of the war, Ukraine estimated that Russia had lost 11,139 tanks, 23,185 armoured vehicles, 32,064 artillery systems, 422 aircraft and 340 helicopters, among other equipment.
