Ukraine updates figures on Russian military losses

The general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russia’s battlefield losses since the start of the full-scale invasion.
According to the latest data, Russia has lost approximately 1,274,040 troops in Ukraine since the war began, including both killed and wounded. The Ukrainian military said the number had increased by 750 over the past day.
The figures published by Kyiv estimated Russia’s total combat losses between 25 February 2022 and 9 March 2026 as follows:
Tanks – 11,745 (up by 3)
Armoured combat vehicles – 24,167 (up by 10)
Artillery systems – 38,129 (up by 70)
Multiple launch rocket systems – 1,675 (up by 2)
The Ukrainian military also reported the following losses:
Air defence systems – 1,326 (up by 4)
Aircraft – 435 (no change)
Helicopters – 349 (no change)
Operational-tactical drones – 166,640 (up by 2,224)
Cruise missiles – 4,403 (no change)
