Russia loses 880 troops in day as Ukraine updates combat loss figures

Russia has lost about 880 troops over the past 24 hours, bringing its total personnel losses in Ukraine to about 1,217,810, including killed or wounded, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said on Saturday.
Estimated total Russian combat losses in Ukraine from February 25, 2022, to January 10, 2026, include 11,530 tanks (+4), 23,882 armoured combat vehicles (+0), 35,908 artillery systems (+16) and 1,597 multiple launch rocket systems (+1).
Russia has also lost 1,269 air defence systems (+0), 434 aircraft (+0) and 347 helicopters (+0). Losses further include 103,414 operational and tactical-level drones (+653) and 4,155 cruise missiles (+18).
Naval losses include 28 small fast boats/ships (+0) and two submarines (+0).
In addition, Russian forces have lost 73,510 vehicles and fuel tanks (+84), as well as 4,039 units of special equipment (+2), according to the General Staff.
