General Staff: Russia loses over 1.22 million troops in Ukraine since start of war

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Sunday that from the beginning of the war to date, Russia has lost approximately 1,226,420 troops in Ukraine, including killed and wounded personnel, with 830 losses recorded over the past day.
The estimated total combat losses of Russian forces in Ukraine from 25 February 2022 to 18 January 2026 are as follows: 11,571 tanks (+5), 23,919 armoured combat vehicles (+5), 36,294 artillery systems (+33), and 1,616 multiple launch rocket systems (+1).
Russian losses also include 1,278 air defence systems (+0), 434 aircraft (+0), 347 helicopters (+0), 109,450 operational and tactical-level drones (+845), and 4,163 cruise missiles (+0).
In addition, Russian forces have lost 28 fast attack boats or ships (+0), two submarines (+0), 74,706 vehicles and fuel tankers (+105), and 4,044 units of special equipment (+0), the General Staff reported.
