General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Saturday confirmed that its Defence Forces had carried out overnight strikes on several strategic facilities inside Russian territory, including an oil refinery, an aircraft repair plant and an oil terminal.
According to the statement, on the night of November 29, Ukrainian forces launched “successful strikes” aimed at reducing Russia’s military-economic potential.
Targets included the Beriev Aircraft Repair Plant in Taganrog, Rostov region, a facility where Russia modernises its Tu-95 strategic bombers and A-50 AWACS aircraft. Initial reports indicate a fire broke out in the workshop servicing Tu-95 aircraft. Damage assessments are ongoing.
Ukrainian forces also struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, described by Kyiv as a facility supplying the Russian occupying army. Explosions were recorded near the target area, followed by a fire. The extent of the damage is still being clarified.
In addition, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of a vertical RV-5000 storage tank at the Tuapse marine oil terminal in Krasnodar region. The strike took place on November 25 and caused notable damage to the port’s infrastructure.
“The joint combat operations of all components of the Defence Forces against key Russian military facilities will continue until Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine fully ends,” the General Staff said.
