Ukraine’s armed forces have released new figures on Russian military losses since the start of Moscow’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.

The General Staff in Kyiv said on Monday Russia had lost an estimated 1,076,940 troops – either killed or wounded – as of 25 August. The daily update claimed a further 870 personnel were lost in the past 24 hours.

Ukraine also reported Russia had lost 11,130 tanks, 23,175 armoured vehicles, and 31,946 artillery systems. In addition, the tally included 1,472 multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,211 air defence systems, 422 aircraft, and 340 helicopters.

Kyiv says Russia had also lost more than 53,000 drones, nearly 3,600 cruise missiles, 28 boats, one submarine, and almost 60,000 vehicles and fuel tanks since the invasion began.
