Ukrainian Armed Forces: Russia’s military casualties top 1,089,000 since invasion

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday said Russia had lost an estimated 1,089,060 troops (killed and wounded), an increase of 910 in the past day.

The overall estimated losses of Russian equipment from February 25, 2022, to September 9, 2025, are as follows:

• Tanks – 11,169 (+1)

• Armored vehicles – 23,261 (+3)

• Artillery systems – 32,577 (+32)

• Multiple launch rocket systems – 1,482 (+1)

• Air defense systems – 1,217 (+0)

• Aircraft – 422 (+0)

• Helicopters – 340

• Operational-tactical UAVs – 57,504 (+226)

• Cruise missiles – 3,691 (+0)

• Boats/warships – 28 (+0)

• Submarines – 1 (+0)

• Vehicles and fuel tanks – 61,207 (+72)

• Special equipment – 3,963 (+2)
