Ukraine’s Armed Forces: Russia’s war losses exceed 1.23 mln personnel

Russia has lost an estimated 1,233,020 military personnel killed or wounded since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, with 930 casualties recorded over the past day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday.
In its latest update, covering the period from February 25, 2022 to January 24, 2026, the Ukrainian military reported continued losses of Russian equipment across multiple categories.
The estimated total combat losses of Russian forces include 11,603 tanks (+4), 23,949 armoured fighting vehicles (+3) and 36,580 artillery systems (+31). Russia has also lost 1,623 multiple launch rocket systems, with no additional losses recorded in the past 24 hours.
Russian forces have lost 1,283 air defence systems (+1), 434 aircraft and 347 helicopters. The number of destroyed operational and tactical-level drones has risen to 114,049, an increase of 772 in one day, while losses of cruise missiles stand at 4,190.
Naval losses include 28 light speedboats or ships and two submarines, with no recent changes reported. In addition, Russia is estimated to have lost 75,644 vehicles and fuel tankers (+88), as well as 4,050 units of special equipment.
