The United National Movement (UNM) opposition party member, Nona Mamulashvili, has advised the Georgian Dream (GD) ruling party ‘to come to mind soon,’ following the recent municipal election run-offs.
Mamulashvili says that the GD ‘has unleashed the war’ against the Georgian people, took the future away from Georgians, and acted in line with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s interests.
She says that the Georgian people want changes.
“We see that the GD has no plans to quit power and is taking all steps to unilaterally run the country. That is why, we will use all peaceful methods to remove them from power and return to Putin with a very first flight.
“We will use all levers, including rallies, to create discomfort for the GD. In the face of the GD’s attempts to show that we (the UNM) are using violent and forcible methods, this will not happen… We will act only peacefully. I will drag out Kobakhidze (GD head Irakli Kobakhidze) with hair… That is why I advise the GD to act reasonably and reserve a flight to Moscow,” Mamulashvili said.
The opposition says that the GD fabricated municipal elections and is scheduled to announce its plans later today.
