Ana Tsitlidze, an MP in the United National Movement opposition party, on Friday accused the former member of the UNM faction in the parliament, Nato Chkheidze, of backing 461 bills had proposed by the ruling Georgian Dream party, when other members in the opposition group boycotted the votes.

The social media post came following the recent turmoil in the opposition after five lawmakers in the UNM faction voted for the ruling party-backed candidates in the controversial judiciary body, Chkheidze among them.

The release of the opposition internal chat also followed the vote.

In her comments, Tsitlidze claimed she had found out Chkheidze’s backing of the ruling party bills following the latest vote earlier this week, saying she had had a “loud talk” with her.

Chkheidze and four other lawmakers in the faction have already quit it.
