MP of the United National Movement (UNM) opposition party Roman Gotsiridze says that big brands like Ferrero are leaving Georgia because investors are losing interest in the country.

Gotsiridze, who chaired the National Bank of Georgia under UNM, says that Ferrero has sold the majority of its hazelnut plantations in Georgia for 18 million USD.

“This means that it is leaving the country which is very regrettable,” Gotsiridze wrote on his Facebook account.

He had stated that only a few brands like Ferrero had entered the country and ‘now they are leaving.’
