The US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price says that the countries which will help Russia bypass international sanctions imposed on it for its invasion of Ukraine, will share the same fate, responding to the question of Georgian Mtavari Arkhi over Kyiv’s allegations that Russia is using the Georgian territory to smuggle in various goods, including weapons, the claims which are strongly condemned by Tbilisi.

Price has refrained from commenting on a separate case, stating that the US has a close contact with Georgian authorities.

He said that the Georgian  people remember well what Russian aggression means and Russia’s attempts to seize sovereign territories.

“We have seen that the Georgian people, the Georgian government, stand by the international community, including in important UN voting  against what the Kremlin is doing in Ukraine. We have close contact with our colleagues in Georgia over the current situation and will continue to be in close contact with them,” Price said.

Tbilisi says that Georgia’s borders are well-administered and has demanded evidence from Ukraine for their accusations.
