US Ambassador Robin Dunnigan and USAID Mission Director John Pennell held discussions with representatives from ISFED regarding their crucial role in monitoring Georgia’s election process ahead of October’s general elections.

The Embassy of the United States in Georgia also highlighted ISFED’s “significant contributions” to ensuring transparent and fair elections within the nation.

“In every democracy, the active involvement of civil society is paramount in upholding the principles of free and transparent elections. Upholding the integrity of electoral processes is indispensable for Georgia’s progression towards its Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” stated the Embassy.

The Georgian authorities have on many occasions slammed ISFED, accusing the organization of dissemination of incorrect parallel vote counting data after the 2020 parliamentary elections.
