US President Joe Biden signed a decree imposing new sanctions on Russia in response to hacker attacks and interference in the presidential election.
This is stated in a message on the White House website.
It is noted that restrictive measures are being introduced against the sovereign debt of Russia, as well as 32 Russian individuals and organizations.
It is also reported that the United States is expelling ten Russian diplomats from Washington; Moreover:
US financial institutions have been banned from direct purchase of debt securities from the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the National Welfare Fund of the Russian Federation since June 14;
sanctions targeted six Russian technology companies that, according to the United States, provide support to Russian intelligence services;
sanctions were imposed against eight individuals and legal entities due to the occupation of Crimea.
