“We will never stop our call to Russia to end its occupation of 20% of your country’s territory and to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of your country – former US President George W. Bush said in his address to the participants of the Glory to Ukraine conference in Tbilisi on Monday, which was  introduced by David Cramer, Director of Global policy at the George W. Bush Institute.

“Georgian people know very well what threats are coming from Moscow. One thing has remained constant over the years: the desire and commitment of the Georgian people to live freely and to lead the country towards institutions such as NATO and the European Union.

“We will never stop calling on Russia to end its occupation of 20% of your country’s territory and for Moscow to respect your country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Even when we express concern about the developments in your country, we do so as friends and allies of Georgia. We want to see the success of Georgia and that it takes a worthy place as a full-fledged member of a democratic society. This is especially important in light of Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine,” George Bush’s letter stated.

According to him, it is a challenging time for the world, but freedom will prevail.

“God bless America, God bless the Georgian people and brave fighters all over the world,” the former US president’s letter said.
