The administration of US President Joe Biden is preparing a new aid worth 800 million US dollars for Ukraine, Reuters reports based on various sources.

According to one of the sources, Biden may use a special right that allows the president to remove excess weapons from the US stockpile.

The sources, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, said the new aid package could be announced today or next week. They did not rule out that the cost of the aid package could change further before the announcement.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Washington has sent billions of dollars in aid to the Ukrainian Government.
