US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who have visited Kyiv for the first time since the Russian invasion of Ukraine back in February, have stated that the US diplomats would gradually return to the country.

Reuters reports that during the recent visit Blinken and Austin met with  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and pledged to provide additional US $ 713 million in new aid to Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden has tweeted that “Putin has failed to achieve his grand ambitions on the battlefield. President Zelenskyy and his democratically elected government remain in power, and Ukrainian armed forces—joined by brave Ukrainian civilians—have thwarted Russia’s conquest of their country.”
