US president approves aid for Georgia, Ukraine

The United States President Joe Biden on Thursday signed his country’s budget bill, which provides for the allocation of financial aid to Ukraine and Georgia.

The law envisages the allocation of $45 billion in aid to Ukraine until September 2023.

Nine billion dollars includes military aid costs. Another 16 billion will be used for economic support and humanitarian needs. $12 billion is to be replenished in the reserves of the US Army after part of the ammunition is transferred to Ukraine.

Washington will contribute another seven billion to finance the US military forces in Europe.

In addition, the budget envisages the allocation of at least $132,025,000 in assistance to Georgia.

The budget totals 1.7 trillion dollars.
