US State Department’s Coordinator for Global Anti-Corruption launches Georgia meetings with NGOs

The US State Department’s Coordinator for Global Anti-Corruption Issues, Richard Nephew, on Wednesday conducted his inaugural meeting with civil society representatives during his visit to Georgia.

Nephew’s itinerary in Georgia also includes scheduled meetings with government officials, anti-corruption institutions, and investigative bodies.

The Coordinator embarked on his visit to Georgia on Tuesday, with plans to extend his visit to Armenia until January 18.

As outlined by the US State Department, discussions in both countries will center around ongoing initiatives and obstacles in the battle against corruption. Additionally, efforts will be made to pinpoint areas for enhanced cooperation between the US and the respective nations.
